I got the Soleus HGW308 model electric heater that you can mount to your wall last year. The primary reason why I purchased this electric heater is because we moved into a house that doesn't have central heat and air. It also had absolutely no heat whatsoever anywhere, nothing previously installed.

I have 2 children and as everyone knows space heaters are not good for kids to be around. So once I saw this wall mount heater I thought it will be perfect. I can install this high enough on the wall that little hands could not reach it. Well alas that is the only good thing this wall mounted electrical heater is good for.

Though my kids did not really touch the heater and it did look so much better than any unit sitting on the floor, they also didn't get warm enough. The heater does not put out sufficient heat to warm a standard sized room. So I went out and bought 2 of these wall mounted heaters. One for every kid's room.

I put them on the walls and hoped for the best. Their rooms just got slightly warmer than the rooms without heat in them. Even with the doorways closed they needed to curl up in their blankets and the area felt cold. I don't think the room ever attained the set temperature or that the heater ever cut off because it never attained the set temperature.

So that isn't very Eco friendly, now is it? As expected, I took both wall heaters back to the shop. I bought the older model that goes on the floor. Although they are unattractive they do work. Not long after I got central heat inside the house. Now my very own home is cozy and toasty in the winter season, with the kids snug safe in their beds. I do not recommend to purchase low cost wall mount heaters for your home, but instead go for prime quality ones.
