Power leveling in World of Warcraft feels nearly necessary after running one or two characters through missions that seem to constantly run you around in circles. You get lost, frustrated, or just really bored. Powerleveling allows you to level your own character as fast and efficiently as you can.

There are several ways to go about power leveling a character, but a good guide is almost constantly the perfect selection. I'd recommend not getting a guide which is in book format unless you are ready to print it out, because alt-tabbing in the middle of your game gets quite annoying. If you print it out this'll make it slightly simpler, however you'll still be having to read over what you need to do next and hopefully remember it.

The next type of guide is a video guide. These is much more helpful as it at least show you what more vividly than a book is able to. However this still contains the problem of needing to check back and forth from the game to your videos. Hopefully you own a second computer to watch the videos on, since having to watch a part of the video while playing WOW is not fun.

The final type of powerleveling guide that I highly suggest, is the in game guide. These guides run as add-ons in your game. They have arrows like a GPS which point to where you need to go. They keep track of which quests you have done and which ones you have not. They figure out the best ways for you to get the most xp in the least time. The Best is they are automatically-updating. This means that you do not need to go in and change the settings for a separate level or character class, it will figure it all out for you. This is the absolute best way to power level a character. A manual can't do this!
